Assistant Engineer Shipwright
Assistant Engineer is accountable to the Engineer for all relevant work carried out by the section and for the standard and timely completion of designated work. He/She is to assist Hands on practical coordinate with Engineer Supervise vessel project CM PM Backlog VTC, basic machinery knowledge & portable machinery safety usage.
Responsibilities:
- Hands on practical vessel project CM PM Backlog VTC, basic machinery knowledge & portable machinery safety usage.
- Familiar and practices safety Rules and Regulation.
- Practices health and Safety procedure to be in line carrying out on daily basis.
- Expose in technical decision swiftly triggers by supervisor in any proposal in assisting the organization.
- Voluntarily as any committee Assurance to the establishment structure.
- Willingness as guidance for room of improvement transfer technology.
- Availability in counter and responsive outcome.
- Visual inspect and test run to ensure all machinery is in perfect order.
Requirements:
- Higher National Technical Education Certificate (HNTec) and National Technical Education Certificate (NTec) in Building Craft, Marker Fitter.
- Knowledge of industry standards (e.g., IEC, IEEE) is added advantages.
- Minimum of 1–3 years in Shipwright, Building Craft and Marker Fitter roles; internships or project experience preferred.
- Must be citizen or permanent resident of Brunei Darussalam.

Assistant Engineer Electrical
Assistant Engineer is accountable to the Engineer for all relevant maintenance work carried out by the section and for the standard and timely completion of designated work. He/She is to assist the Engineer in doing maintenance and any corrective work.
Responsibilities:
- Prevent breakdown of systems by routinely inspecting and replacing old wiring and insulated cables, cleaning circuits etc.
- Identify and resolve issues in electrical systems, ensuring safety and efficiency. To make sure all wiring of control panel is tested and tested for function.
- Conduct tests on prototypes and existing systems to ensure functionality and compliance.
- Install, inspect, and maintain electrical systems and equipment. Preventive and corrective maintenance, fault finding, overhauling motors and all electrical equipment.
- Record all the test data during the maintenance period.
- Test and rectify all electrical equipment for defect during the base maintenance period, defect essential docking, afloat maintenance, 2 years refit and 4 years refit maintenance period.
- Ensure quality, efficient and economic repair work carried out.
- Work closely with senior engineers, technicians, and cross-functional teams to meet project goals.
- Bring immediate attention to any shortcoming which affects the efficiency of the head of workshop.
- Install electrical apparatus, fixtures and equipment for alarm and other systems and distribution components (e.g. switches, resistors, circuit-breaker panels etc.). Connect wiring in electrical circuits and networks ensuring compatibility of components.
Requirements:
- Minimum requirements in HND/Degree Electrical Engineering or any related field.
- Knowledge of industry standards (e.g., IEC, IEEE).
- Higher National Technical Education Certificate (HNTec) and National Technical Education Certificate (NTec) in electrical-related fields.
- Minimum of 1–3 years in electrical engineering roles; internships or project experience preferred.

Senior Electronics Engineer
The Senior Electronics Engineer will be involved in the upgrades and modifications of electronics systems on the Royal Brunei Navy vessels. This role requires a strong knowledge in electronics such as navigation, communication, radar or weapons systems in a naval environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for investigating system issues, conducting tests and evaluations and developing solutions to ensure compatibility and performance. This role requires proficiency in system analysis, specification and requirement to ensure the successful planning and execution of engineering projects.
The Senior Electronics Engineer will provide expert guidance on the selection and integration of onboard electronics systems by understanding the ship’s or the systems’ concepts of operation, ensuring that the mission profile is achieved within the specified operational environment. He or she is expected to understand and define interface requirements between components of complex systems such as Combat Management System, Integrated Communication Systems and/or Navigation Systems. This includes analyzing legacy systems to ensure seamless integration and functionality across hardware-software boundaries.
Responsibilities:
- Analyze existing systems to identify performance issues or upgrade opportunities.
- Utilize engineering principles to perform investigation and analysis and to develop technical solutions and proposals.
- Develop test plans to assess system and record measurements and to evaluate function and performance.
- Prepare technical requirements and specifications for the design of the system.
- Prepare and review engineering documentation, including technical reports, test protocols, and system specifications.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electronics Engineering or a related field.
- A minimum of 8 years’ experience with navigation, communications, radar or weapon systems and their interfaces.
- Experience in marine electronics, embedded systems or similar field.
- Experience in maintenance, repair or upgrade.
- Knowledge of industry standards and regulations.
- Must be citizen or permanent resident of Brunei Darussalam.
