Electronics Engineer
Apply engineering knowledge and methodologies to design and to analyze problems, develop technical solutions and define engineering scope of work for electronics systems. The Electronics Engineer will be responsible for managing assigned engineering tasks and deliverables involving upgrades and modifications to vessels of the Royal Brunei Navy. This role requires proficiency in CAD applications, system analysis, and documentation management to ensure the successful execution of engineering projects.
Responsibilities:
- Work closely with the Planning Department to schedule routine maintenance, repairs, and dry-docking activities. This involves aligning vessel availability with operational needs, minimizing downtime, and ensuring that maintenance tasks are completed within the planned timeframes.
- Perform engineering studies, calculations and evaluations to support design
- Define scope of work, goals and deliverables that support the proposed engineering solution
- Develop test plans to assess system and record measurements and to evaluate function and performance.
- Prepare, review, maintain and organize drawings and technical documentation within the Engineering folder structure
- Collaborate with project managers, operations, and maintenance teams by providing technical input, recommendations, and design clarifications.
Requirements:
- Minimum Higher National Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Electronics Engineering or a related field
- A minimum of 3 years’ experience in naval domain or a comparable industry.
- Experience in marine electronics such navigation and communication system or similar field.
- Experience with installation, maintenance, repair or upgrade of electronics systems.
- Practical knowledge of electrical integration, cabling, and interface with ship systems (power, alarms, automation)
- Exposure to commissioning, testing, and acceptance processes (FAT, HAT, SAT)
- Familiarity with marine industry standards and regulations (e.g., IMO, SOLAS, class requirements such as DNV, ABS, Lloyd’s Register)

Engineer Planner
Engineer Planner is responsible in overseeing and managing the future maintenance of the vessels, preventive maintenance, docking maintenance, corrective maintenance of the vessels (Job Cards and OPDEFs) and vessel projects. The scope will involve work collaboration with Ship Management for task prioritization and scheduling. This role requires experience in planning/scheduling in maintenance and project, it would be preferrable if to have an experience in maritime industry or any other technical experience.
Responsibilities:

- Oversee the day-to-day fleet maintenance planning and scheduling of preventive maintenance, corrective maintenance, docking and project planning.
- Able to do quality evaluation for planning work preparation for major maintenance, preventive maintenance, corrective maintenance, docking and project.
- Keep track of progress on all maintenance on board their respective assigned vessel and any related issue. This includes the timely closure of all maintenance tasks in accordance with the UUP and the BMP.
- Able to do project planning, create worklist, and implementation plan.
- Record keeping and preparation of official documentation for all vessel maintenance or project related. (STW, HAT, SAT, etc.)
- Collaborate with Strategic Planning and/or Operation Planning on task scheduling preparation for Base Maintenance Plan preparation.
- Departmental coordination for any maintenance work or services requirement assigned to the respective vessels. (Ship Management, Engineering, Procurement, etc.)
- Ensure compliance with international regulations, industry standards, and company policies related to safety, environmental protection, and quality management.
Requirements:
- Minimum HND or Bachelor’s Degree (preferred) in any technical field
- Minimum 2-3 years of relevant experience in maintenance planning or project planning
- Must have sound knowledge on Basic Technical and Planning skill
- Must be citizen or permanent resident of Brunei Darussalam

Project Manager (Engineer)
Project Manager is responsible for overseeing the management, maintenance, and operational readiness of the fleet. This role involves coordinating with various departments, managing projects, ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards, and delivering high-quality service.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage ship repair and refurbishment projects from initiation to completion. Monitor project progress and ensure that milestones are met. Coordinate with engineering, procurement, and other departments to ensure project objectives are achieved. Allocate and manage resources effectively to ensure project success. Monitor team performance and provide guidance to improve productivity and quality.
- Work closely with the Planning Department to schedule dry-docking activities. Develop project plans and timelines.Collaborate with the Engineering, Technical Investigation, and Workshop teams to develop technical solutions for fleet maintenance and operational challenges.
- Develop detailed work scopes and provide comprehensive technical information about job requirements. Manage all contractors assigned to projects or tasks. Evaluate vendor performance and ensure that contracts are fulfilled according to company standards.
- Collaborating with Engineering, Technical Investigation, and Workshop teams to develop technical solutions for the fleet. Problem identification and analysis and solution development..
- Overseeing the procurement of necessary spare parts and equipment for vessel maintenance. Identifying requirement by working with planning department and subject matter experts. Review and approve technical specifications and procurement documents for vessel repairs and upgrades.
- Ensuring compliance with all international and local regulations such as SHENA (Safety, Health, and Environment National Authority) safety regulations and standards. Promote a safe work environment.
- Maintain effective communication with clients, contractors, and regulatory bodies.Prepare and present reports to senior management, providing updates on fleet status and project progress. Coordinate with other departments to ensure alignment of strategic objectives and operational goals.
Requirements:
- Mechanical Engineering Diploma or similar field
- 4 years or more in the field
- Preferable candidate with marine engineering background or project management.
- Must be citizen or permanent resident of Brunei Darussalam
